Physics 201
GENERAL PHYSICS I
Physics 201 is a three-credit introduction to physics using algebra and trigonometry.
Topics covered include mechanics (translational motion in a line and in a plane, rotational motion),
fluids, thermal physics, vibrational motion, and waves.
A one-credit laboratory is available. It requires separate registration. All students are
expected to be enrolled in the laboratory except for pharmacy majors.
PHYS 201 carries 3 credit hours, but meets for 4 class hours. The fourth hour is not the lab.

From that web site you can access other very interesting speeches on a number of topics including Environmentalism and Aliens (How they relate to Global Warming).
SIMULATIONS. Links to the Jones & Childers web site are listed below with specific links to particular simulations. You
can explore the site for others. Note that all of them may no longer be active.
Link to the main page. Choose the appropriate chapter
from the pulldown list. Within the chapter page, look for links to Simulations and to Chapter Web Links. The numbers associated
with the simulations refer to the chapter sections in the textbook.
For Chapter 14: Simple Harmonic
Motion.
For Chapter 15: Sound
wave simulation; Demonstration of measuring Sound Levels;
Doppler Effect demo;
and Sound of Shapes.
