What I do (and have done):

Research in few-body nuclear systems using phenomenology:
Double pion production in dd→αX (the ABC effect).
Double radiative deuteron capture dd→αγγ, physics background for the dd→απ0 experiment at IUCF.

Experimental support:
Charge symmetry breaking (CSB) experiment: dd→απ0 (IUCF).

Research in few-body nuclear systems using effective field theory:
Calculation of  np→dπ0 (TRIUMF) and dd→απ0. CSB theory collaboration website.
Precision extraction of the neutron-neutron scattering length from radiative pion capture on deuterium.
Connections between electroweak and strong processes imposed by chiral symmetry.
Investigating non-relativistic expansions used to derive effective field theory Lagrangians.
The role of the renormalization group in chiral perturbation theory.

Organized workshop on Isospin Violation.
Initiator of and coordinator for the USC Nuclear Physics Journal Club.

Explain some issues regarding faith and science. Presented at a theology conference (SPS).
